Porsche's New All-Electric Macan Makes a True Statement on EVs

This week Porsche has announced that after nearly 10 years in production they are offering their compact performance SUV, the Macan, as an all-electric varient. This news come along with the onslaught of anti-EV coverage in the media and on social platforms due to the instability in the market and consumer fears. With this announcement, however, Porsche makes a true statement with the future of EVs.

Porsche has been a tried and true brand for many consumers over the decades of production. The German brand creates consistently captivating and high quality vehicles, and it was no different when they delivered to consumers the Porsche Taycan, one of the newer all-electric models from the brand. Now that the market has settled around this truly impressive vehicle, Porsche is moving forward with production of the all-electric Macan.

Now it was Porsche in the first place that brought in the reign of luxury performance SUVs, with the first generation Cayenne receiving the GOATED title of super-SUV. It is not news to any that they are a trend setter in the market, backed by a hundred years and more of motorsports history providing us with newer tech, better aerodynamics, and faster cars.

While many consumers are struggling to face the fears and uncertainty of the electric vehicle market, Porsche is gearing up to bring us even more. If that's the case, we can at least hope that the future for EVs isn't quite as doomed as the past few weeks in the media may have led us all to believe.
